The Gummy Worm and the Swedish Fish

One day a boy named Grolick decided to go fishing. He brought his fishing pole to the lake, but he looked and looked and couldn't find a worm to use. Then in his pocket he found a red gummy worm.

Grolick tied the gummy worm to his string and lowered it into the water. Suddenly he felt a bite! He pulled up his pole, and he saw a fish at the end of the line. But it wasn't a regular fish. It was a Swedish Fish! The candy!

"Hello," said the Swedish Fish. "My name is Fooshie."

"If you don't eat me, and if you listen to my story, I will grant you one wish!," Fooshie said.

"OK," said Grolick.

"Very well," Fooshie said, and he began to tell his story: Once upon
a time the King of Sweden was out hunting in the woods. Suddenly, up in the clearing ahead, he saw a rabbit. he ran up to the little bunny and pointed his hunting rifle at it.

"Don't shoot me," the rabbit begged. "If you spare me and listen to my story, I will grant you one wish!"

The King of Sweden looked at the rabbit, then said "OK, tell me your story, bunny rabbit, and then I will get my wish!" So the rabbit started to tell his story:

One day, two kids were playing on the swin
gs in their backyard. All of a sudden, walking onto the grass, they saw a duck! "I am a talking duck named Quackly," the duck said. "And if you listen to my story, I will grant you one wish."

The two children looked at each other. A talking duck! Granting a wish!

"Sure!" they both yelled to Quackly.

So the duck began to tell his story: a long time ago, a robot was walking through the laboratory of the mad scientist who had invented him. Then the robot saw something on the floor. He looked down, and it was a mouse! "Please don't step on me," the mouse begged the robot. "If you don't step on me, I will tell you a great story and
grant you one wish!"

The robot was curious. "OK," said the robot in his robot voice. So the mouse began to tell the robot a story:

"OK," said the robot. "That was a really great story. But what about the wish you promised me from last time?"
"Yes," the mouse answered. "I do owe you one wish! What is your wish?" "I wish this story would end already!" the robot said. "And so it shall," said the mouse. "Your wish is granted. The End!"

The two children looked at each other and then at the talking duck in their backyard. "We wish the story were over too!" they begged.

"The end!" said Quackly.

The rabbit looked up at the King of Sweden. "I hope you liked my story. It is over!"

"That's what I was wishing for!" said the King.

"And they all lived happily ever after," said Fooshie the Swedish Fish.

"So now do I get my wish?" asked Grolick, still holding his fishing pole in one hand.

"Yes, what's your wish?" asked Fooshie the Swedish Fish.

"Umm..." Grolick couldn't think of a wish. Then he finally thought of one. "Can you tell me that story again?"
